Belgrade Beer Fest 2009, seventh in a row, presented itself to the public, for the first time, on May 05th, at the press conference, at the Assembly of the city of Belgrade.
At this press conference the spokesmen were:
- Slobodan Milosavljević, Ministry of Trade and Services, Minister, Chairman of the Board
- Bojan Đurić, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Secretary of State
- Željko Ožegović, City Assembly of Belgrade, a member of City Council
- Jasna Dimitrijević, Tourist organization of Belgrade, general manager
- Nenad Đurđević, Ball Packaging Europe Beograd, Sales regional manager for the Southeastern Europe
- Jovica Jakovac, Colliers International Serbia, general manager
- Dejan Grastić, Belgrade Cultural Network
- Ivan Ivačković, Belgrade Cultural Network
At this press conference a "Festival Development Board" has been presented. This Board has developed through the cooperation of the Belgrade Cultural Network and influential institutions and companies, whose members are ministers, managers, state secretaries, who have addressed the public, as well as the representatives of the Belgrade Cultural Network.
Hereby, they have announced a huge social campaign dedicated to ecology, under the slogan "I choose to recycle", which has the two most important goals: citizen's education and fund raising for purchase of the new recycling containers for the schools in Belgrade.
From July 1st to August 11th, at Nikola Pasic Square, the above mentioned social campaign stand will be placed. Anyone who brings to the stand three or more empty cans will receive a "Belgrade Beer Fest souvenir package". The package will include interesting products from commercial sponsors that support the campaign. You will be informed about the exact details of this campaign through this site.
This has been the first in the row of the press conferences, through which the public will learn all the details about the Belgrade Beer Fest, and the representatives of the Belgrade Cultural Network have announced the festival to remember.
